sh-5In years past Sisterhoods existed as a way for women to grow as leaders in their synagogue communities. In our synagogue today, women take on key leadership roles and responsibilities. Yet, women still want a venue for coming together. Rodef Shalom Sisterhood was revived in 2008 by a group of women who wanted to provide a way for Jewish women of all ages to Connect, Come together and Collaborate.

Our Sisterhood strives to provide a wide array of opportunities for women to come together in social, cultural, educational and religious programs. Working women, empty nesters, moms, grandmothers, retired women, members of Rodef Shalom, unaffiliated women — all are welcome and encouraged to participate in programs that support the ongoing work of Rodef Shalom and also to join in activities specifically designed for women. We look forward to having you collaborate with us on future programming that meets your interests.

With funds raised at various programs and from our dues, our Sisterhood provides:

  • Bar & Bat Mitzvah gifts
  • Preschool Teachers' Wish List during Book Fair
  • Complimentary social events for Sisterhood members and guests
  • Your ideas are needed and welcome
